11th Annual Musical Tribute Honoring MLK

Living Jazz presents In The Name of Love, the 11th Annual Musical Tribute honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. featuring Grammy Award winner, Jennifer Holliday, Tuck & Patti, The Oakland Interfaith Choir and The Oaktown Jazz Workshops. Commemorate The Dream & 50 Years on Monday, January 21st, at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and Yerba Buena Gardens.  Experience a full day of FREE programs, events and activities for all ages, including the annual freedom march, the children's activity map, the Sunday Morning Experience production, a feature screening of The Waiting Room and conversation with producer Peter Nicks.  Plus, FREE transportation from throughout the Bay (restrictions apply).  For more information, click here.

End your Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday at The Dream & 50 Years Evening Celebration, presented by 102.9 KBLX and Wells Fargo Bank at San Francisco's City View at Metreon on Monday, January 21st. Live music and performances, wine tastings from the finest wineries, and much more. Make the Dream Real 2013

The Attitudinal Healing Connection presents the 15th Annual Holiday Celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Make the Dream Real 2013. The focal point will be on making the dream real for a quality education for every child. We believe that every child should be safe, loved, educated and valued. This FREE community event will take place at McClymonds High School, 2607 Myrtle Street in  Oakland on Monday, January 21st,  from 10am-Noon, with a delicious food justice meal from People’s Grocery following.  For more info click here.
AACSA Hosts 33rd Annual Martin Luther King Luncheon

The African American Community Service Agency presents the 33rd Annual Martin Luther King Luncheon, a celebratory program acknowledging the Life, Legend and Legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  This year’s program will be January 21st, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4977 San Felipe Road in San Jose, from 11am-2pm.  The dynamic Dereca L.
