R&B Crooner, songwriter and actor Eric Benét has successfully released five albums and is releasing his sixth album entitled The One on June 5th, 2012. Very appropriately named, Benét’s new album The One marks a moment of positive transition in his life and lyrically speaks to the many new beginnings developing in his career and family. The One will also be the first album released on Benét’s newly formed record label Jordan House Records, which he created in partnership with EMI.
“Real Love” (available on iTunes) is the first single off Benét’s new album The One and was the #1 added song to Urban AC when shipped to radio in October 2011 and is currently #5 on the Urban AC chart and climbing. This new single is a taste of only one-half of what to expect on Benét’s new album, which he describes as a “very contemporary approach to old-school songwriting integrity” with Benet’s signature mid-70s soul groove, but modernized with a bit of funk, hip-hop swagger and feel. On the new album, there are a variety of instruments from strings to horns plus featured artists, a confirmed duet with his first daughter India and even a lullaby at the end of the album dedicated to his new baby girl Lucia Bella.
Goapele
website - facebook
Singer/songwriter Goapele broke out of Bay Area at the beginning of the last decade determined to make a difference in the world of music. Seamlessly blending genres while refusing to be limited by the “neo-soul” tag, the eloquent singer/songwriter completed her first release Closer in 2001 and never looked back. Embraced from the beginning by critics and fans alike, Goapele craved the perfect niche for herself as she created music that fused jazz, soul and hip-hop with her own beautiful poetry.
While Rolling Stone magazine once called Goapele the “spiritual love child of Sade and D’Angelo,” her searing voice can be both sensuous and serious, often on the same song. After taking off six years from recording, Goapele has returned to the forefront of the music scene with Break of Dawn, a collection of sophisticated songs dealing with love, loss and all the life in between.
West London native Estelle released her long awaited sophomore album “All Of Me” earlier this year to critical acclaim. “ALL OF ME” featured the hits “Break My Heart (Feat. Rick Ross),” as well as the heartwarming single, “Thank You,” which was written by Akon and produced by Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis (U2, The Black Eyed Peas, T.I.), Arden “Keyz'” Altino, and Akene “The Champ” Dunkley. Since the album’s release, Estelle has been touring all over the world. She recently returned to the States to play at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, and will perform at a series of exclusive “invite only” events throughout the country presented by Rosa Regale.
Estelle’s US debut album “SHINE” – which marked the premiere release from Grammy Award-winner John Legend’s Homeschool Records label, in partnership with Atlantic Records – was without question one of 2008’s most compelling releases. Executive Produced by Legend and Atlantic Records Chairman/CEO Craig Kallman, the album proved Estelle’s global breakthrough, fuelled in part by the phenomenal hit single, “American Boy (Feat. Kanye West).”

Some people become artists because they seek fortune and fame. They believe that somehow, performing, writing and producing will bring them the accolades and acclaim they feel they've been missing. Then there are the people who have no choice in the matter - artistry has chosen them. They are compelled to write, perform and record the way the rest of us are compelled to breathe. Whether they sell five million records or just five, some folks will always create. Jon B is one of these rare individuals. He is the consummate artist, accomplished musician, and a noted songwriter and producer. His is a richly textured body of music, a testament to one man's love for all things soul.
Platinum-Certified Cool Relax album shot to the Top 5 of R&B charts upon its release in 1998, fueled by the success of "They Don't Know," a platinum-certified single and a #1 R&B hit. A highly melodic offering with an ultra-romantic vibe, "They Don't Know" cemented Jon's reputation as a balladeer with real heart. "Are You Still Down", the B-side to "They Don't Know," peaked at #2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles and Tracks. He continued his mission with Pleasures U Like, which rose to #3 on the R&B charts in 2001.
